Render Queue Pro
A downloadable tool
Render Queue Pro turns Blender into a set-and-forget render station. Queue up jobs from multiple .blend files and scenes, hit one button, and walk away — pause and resume any time, and if anything interrupts the run, crash recovery picks up exactly where it stopped.
What it does
- One queue for everything — jobs from the current scene, other scenes in the file, or external .blend files (multi-select).
- Per-job overrides — engine (Cycles / Eevee / Workbench), resolution, samples, frame range, output folder, format (PNG / JPEG / MP4), camera, and naming template. Overrides apply to the job's own scene only and your scene settings are restored after every job.
- Pause / resume / cancel — pause between frames, resume later, or skip the running job and continue the queue.
- Crash recovery — before each job starts, the output folder is scanned and frames already on disk are skipped. Movies skip as a whole when the file exists.
- Token file naming — {blend} {scene} {job} {date} {time} {res} {engine}, with a live preview. Unknown tokens are rejected with a clear message, never silently kept.
- Presets — save any job's settings as a named preset, apply to one job or the whole queue.
- Versioned subfolders — optional v001, v002, … output so a new run never overwrites the last one.
- Live progress + ETA, per-job render log, end-of-queue summary report (also saved as a text file), sound + desktop notifications, and Show Output in File Browser per finished job.
- Persistent queue — autosaves on every change and restores when Blender restarts; save/load queues as JSON any time.
Tested, honestly: 183 automated checks pass on Blender 4.5.14 LTS and Blender 5.2.2 LTS each, including real rendered frames (Cycles, Eevee and Workbench), pause/resume, cancel, crash recovery, external .blend jobs, scene jobs, MP4 movies, presets, and queue save/load. The exact buyer ZIP was also fresh-installed and verified on both Blender versions (13/13 checks each).
Honest limitations
- Sequential local rendering only — no background-render-while-you-work, no network farm, no cloud.
- The samples override applies to Cycles; other engines use their current scene settings.
- Pause takes effect between frames (for MP4 movie jobs, after the job's movie finishes).
- External .blend jobs open each file during the run — save your file first (the add-on refuses to start with unsaved changes when file jobs are present).
- Desktop popups need notify-send on Linux; notifications never break a render when unavailable.
